The new generation of the Intel Atom family can also be found in Shuttle's All-in-One PCs. The smaller architecture of 32 nm helps improve on power consumption and computing power. Just as its predecessor, the X50V3 is completely passively cooled and therefore is virtually noiseless. Doing away with any fans means there is one less element that may need repairing or servicing. If an SSD drive is installed in the X50V3, the entire machine has no moving parts at all – ideal for maximum reliability.
